Welcome!!!! I am pretty excited to be launching Hope Warriors! Our dream is for this to be a community where we can all share in our journeys with cancer whether you are a cancer patient or a family member. Cancer is not something that only affects the one with it, but their entire circle of family and friends.

Michael and I have been married for 12 years and have three fur kids, Toby a Westie, Pip a mix, and Bo the Great Dane. They are all spoiled beyond belief. I have been a physical therapist assistance for 19 years and truly love my job. I have been fortunate enough to travel to Guatemala three times and serve God by educating special needs caregivers in ways to care for themselves and the kiddos. I also work for a non-profit Healing Projects which I LOVE and will share more about in the future. We love Jesus and we have seen so many miracles with our cancer journey. We've grown closer to Him. We've yelled at Him. But we have trusted Him that His plans and this path would point people toward Him. More to come on all that in future posts.

Michael is my rock. He kept every vow that he made on that day in August and I will forever be grateful to the man he is. He stepped up in ways that I never dreamed he could. He changed my bandages, helped me to stand up or get me into bed. He held me when I cried and screamed. I pray that everyone has a "Michael" in their life during their cancer journey. I am excited that he shares in the dream of Hope Warrior because as a caregiver, he has so much help and support to offer other caregivers.

For the most part we are home bodies that love to camp and all things football. This may be where we lose some of ya....but we are Tennessee fans! Mike went to college there and we will wear our orange with pride! We have 2 nephews and a niece that we love to spoil rotten, hype up on sugar and then send home.
My Dream for Hope Warriors (HW)
1. Tell people about God and His love for us.
2. Share our crazy journey hoping that ONE person may benefit.
3. Connect you with other cancer warriors that can give advice, tips, support, and encouragement with your battle.
4. Provide caregivers a space to chat with other caregivers. You guys get forgotten sometimes and we want to lift you up as you help care for us through this season.
5. Educate on early detection!
6. I want the blog focus on testimonies and stories of other cancer warriors and their families. I pray that I have hundreds of people reach out to us and want to be the featured blogger and share their story. I believe that God gave us all a special path that was meant for us to share Him through that experience.
If you would like to be featured on the blog with your story or anything else to share please reach out to me on the Facebook group @ https://www.facebook.com/thehopewarriors.
Also go to the Facebook page and go the Private Group section https://www.facebook.com/pg/thehopewarriors/groups and join your cancer group. This is where I hope cancer warriors connect with others in a safe space. This is a place where we can be honest and vent. We can give tips that helped us in our journey.
I look forward to meeting more of you and together we can stand up against cancer and raise a community of support and love!
